Our pug, Molly had an operation recently to correct a luxated patella, which basically means a dislocated knee. It’s a problem that she’s had for a while, and didn’t seem to bother her very much, but may have caused her more problems further down the road. After a night and a day without food she went in for her operation, and all went well. The vets made the recess for her knee cap deeper, and generally tightened everything up and she seems to be recovering well so far.

Now comes the difficult part. Molly hates taking tablets, and we have two to give her every day. She also hates staying still, and so we’re keeping her in a small cage called a crate most of the time. This was okay for the first couple of days, but now she’s starting to feel a little better she’s getting frustrated with being cooped up. I’m very much looking forward to letting her run around again after she’s made a full recovery.

In other news on Sunday I had to rescue a pigeon out of a chimney, and now have to repair the damage that I did to the chimney in the process 😦
