At the beginning of March I was very lucky to be able to go to the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco. GDC is 5 days of really interesting lectures given by very clever people about how they did really exciting things in games. The only problem is that there are always several really interesting sessions that I would love to go to, but miss out on because I’m already watching another session.

It seems the chaps who organise GDC appreciate this problem, and they’ve come up with a solution. They film a lot of the sessions, then upload them to a GDC Vault and email everyone who went to GDC with a username and password so they can access it. This is really useful for both recapping on what I learnt and seeing the sessions I missed out on. I’m sure I can use it to inspire the odd blog post or two as well.

Exciting stuff!
